Our Favorite Sugar

So versatile! This is my favorite way, and one I share as gifts. Always repurpose the Estero honey jars!!! Put one semi-sweet or plain chocolate square in the bottom of the jar. Put one vanilla bean pod in the jar. If you are using one of the Estero shorties, use kitchen scissors to cut the pod in half. Add the rock sugar. Put another chocolate square in the top. Let sit for 3-7 days. Open the jar only to enjoy the aroma. After your days of resisting, try the sugar. My friends taste it like candy. It's wonderful with coffee or added to buttered toast. You are limited only by your imagination.
