Lavender Mint
Soothing and elegant, the fragrant essence of floral lavender is beautifully balanced by the crisp, invigorating notes of menthol-rich peppermint. Though seemingly simple, the combination of these two ingredients creates a unique harmony that is both calming and restorative. This blend offers meditative qualities that help alleviate stress and anxiety, with the serene lavender and refreshing mint working together to restore balance to the body and mind.
Our peppermint is sourced from the pristine northwestern USA, where the fresh mountain air of spring and early summer yields some of the purest, most aromatic peppermint with exceptionally high volatile oil content. Traditionally brewed as a post-meal herbal tea, peppermint is valued for its ability to aid digestion and ease symptoms of bloating, nausea, and heartburn. Its essential oils are also widely used to relieve headaches and physical tension, making peppermint both a wellness staple and a sensory delight with its sharp, cool flavor and naturally sweet undertones.
Lavender, on the other hand, is a delicate and versatile flower renowned for its calming effects. Often found in massage oils, soaps, and bath products, lavender is cherished for its ability to promote tranquility of the mind, body, and spirit. Herbalists recommend lavender to alleviate migraines, soothe digestion, reduce nervous tension, and encourage restful sleep. When steeped as a tea, lavender delivers a deeply restorative experience, offering delicate floral layers that pair seamlessly with the cooling sweetness of peppermint. Together, these two botanicals create a soothing infusion that promotes relaxation and harmony with every sip.
Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea).
Place 2 slightly heaping teaspoons of herbal tea or 1 tea bag into a teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the herbal tea. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea or removing the bags. Not all of the tea will fit, allowing for approximately an additional ½ serving. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed herb & fruit tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted.
